Meet the Gaybors Fund Recipients

Individuals, communal spaces and organizations in the gayborhood continue to do life-changing and life-saving work for and with members of the LGBTQ+ community. While national organizations continue to thrive in awareness and fundraising, we know that impactful, community-based grassroot nonprofits are the heartbeat of the LGBTQ+ community. These smaller organizations often struggle to compete for substantial working capital, grants and program contributions in turn impacting their ability to keep their doors open. The Gaybors Fund is here to help bridge the gap.

When clients book a Drag in Demand event, they have the opportunity to select a grassroots nonprofit to receive a donation from the Gaybors Fund, in partnership with Gaybors Agency and Drag Trips. This fund is supported directly from our agency commission.

Impact Fund

The OUT Georgia Impact Fund launched in 2021 with a mission to amplify and invest in nonprofit organizations that deliver meaningful, distinct, and measurable impact in the lives of Georgia’s growing LGBTQIA+ community.
Powered by United Way of Greater Atlanta in collaboration with OUT Georgia Business Alliance, Georgia’s LGBTQIA+ and Allied Chamber of Commerce, the Impact Fund is guided by an advisory council to award grants to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that demonstrate excellence, intentionality, consistency, and effectiveness directly impacting LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, or communities across the State of Georgia.

The OUT Georgia Impact Fund aligns with United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Child Well-Being Agenda by focusing on equity to ensure all individuals, families, and communities have opportunities to thrive.

Rainbow Railroad

We help at-risk LGBTQI+ individuals get to safety around the world.

Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization that helps at-risk LGBTQI+ people get to safety worldwide. Based in the United States and Canada, we’re an organization that helps LGBTQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. In a time when there are more displaced people than ever, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm.

Los Angeles LGBT Center

Since 1969, the Los Angeles LGBT Center has cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBTQ individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond.

Today, the Center’s nearly 800 employees provide services for more queer and trans people than any other organization in the world—offering programs, services, and global advocacy that span four broad categories: Health, Social Services and Housing, Culture and Education, and Leadership and Advocacy.

We are an unstoppable force in the fight against bigotry and the struggle to build a better world—a world in which LGBTQ people can be healthy, equal, and complete members of society.

YouthSeen

The mission of Youth Seen is to foster and empower the social and emotional well-being of LGBTQI youth and their families in all communities.
