Born in the Bay but shaped by Tokyo, Christian “Suzu” honed his craft in hospitality under the watchful eyes of his grandparents at their family-run restaurants in Japan. From prep work to people skills, he soaked up a deep respect for food, service and storytelling—lessons he brought back to California and stirred straight into his bar career.
Over the past decade, Suzu has become a beloved fixture in San Francisco’s cocktail scene, shaking things up at some of the city’s most iconic bars like 15 Romolo, Benjamin Cooper and Wildhawk. His talent and charm landed him on Netflix’s Drink Masters, where he stirred up a national fanbase.
Suzu’s creative cocktail pop-up, Kagano, has been popping off across California and now he’s taking it on the road with a 9-month North American tour. Catch him while you can—because in 2026, he’s setting down roots with a permanent bar in New York City.
